Terms

The short version of how this site works.

Last updated May 10, 2026.

Capitalism Killed Software is the public site of an independent consultancy. The terms below cover use of this site itself; client engagements are governed by individual engagement agreements that the operator and the client sign separately.

Use of the site

You're welcome to read, link to, share, and quote anything published here. Reproduction of the writings — manifesto, blog posts, books page — is fine in personal and non-commercial contexts. If you're republishing in a commercial context (an outlet, a book, a paid newsletter), write us first so we can agree on attribution.

Don't scrape the site programmatically at high rates. There's no rate-limiting on the public surfaces beyond what's needed to stop spam, and we'd like to keep it that way. If you need the content in bulk for a legitimate purpose, write us at hello@capitalismkilledsoftware.com and we'll likely say yes.

The platform

The application that runs this site is published under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0). The full license text is in the LICENSE file at the root of the source repository. A separate commercial exception is available for organizations that prefer not to be bound by the AGPL's network-use provision; contact us if that applies to you.

No warranty

This site and the application that powers it are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep the site up, accurate, and secure, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, or fitness for any particular purpose beyond what individual engagement agreements cover.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will also be noted in writings on the site.
